Welcome to the future of Anti-Cheat

You are now witness to a transformation of the entire Anti-Cheat scene. Oculus is using a brand new way of accurately detecting cheats, by using logic, mathematics, statistics and rules of physics. It is the product of about 1½ year of pre-programming, scheming, testing and theoretical brainstorming, and there is still a fair distance to the goal. This site is meant to be a proof-of-concept / demonstration platform. Oculus is targeted at the Half-Life 1 engine game Counter-Strike only. It is possible that support will be added for other HL1 mods as well as the Half-Life 2 engine Counter-Strike Source and mods.
It has recently been decided that Oculus is going to be released as a MetaMod plugin. This includes both final and testing versions. Alpha and beta builds will be released to a small group of people only, hand-picked from the users on the site. At later stages more testers are needed. If you want to participate in the testing sign-up and read more about it in the beta testing section.
The Oculus website has just been launched and therefore a lot of info and functionality is still missing. Information about the functionality and ideas behind Oculus will be added on a monthly basis. It's possible that a demonstration video or other means of demonstration of the current Alpha build will be launched as well.

Yeah, we want to close the doors before wallhackers' nose...
When will be first release?
Хорошя идея
Disable the cheats instead of banning players using them
making the cheater's cheats ineffective.
For example when it detects a speedhack, it could
calculate how much speed gain the player get, and then
set the players serverside speed to a value to
compensate for speedhack so the player gets normal
speed.
When it detects a aimbot, it could calculate by some means
how much better the player gets with aimbot, and
then degrade the player by adding random crosshair
movements so he gets as good as he is without hack.
For wallhack protection, it could just ignore to send
players that are behind walls. Allow the server
administrator to configure how harsh the wallhack
prevention should be. So its a tradeoff between that
some players that should be visible are invisible and
some players that should be invisible are visible...
For norecoil, it could just detect the recoil value, by
measuring lengths to target and height change between
subsuquent shots. Then it could calculate the recoil
for the used weapon, and if the recoil is below a
certain value, it just add a specified value upwards
to players crosshair movement to "re-add" the recoil
removed by the hack.
For spinhack it could detect if the players spin a number
of degrees per second. If this value exceeds a
administrator set value, and the engine detect that
this isn't something made by script or high mouse
sensitivity setting, it could de-spin the player by
applying a movement against the spinhack spinning with
a equal rotation speed. The result is that the players
spin axis get locked and the cheater needs to
turn off his spinhack to be able to play. When he
turns off his spinhack, he will start to spin in the
opposite direction due to the antispinhack module
applying opposite rotation force, and then the
antispinhack module detects this opposite spin, which
it detects as "spinhack turned off" and then it stops
de-spinning the player so he can play normally. If he
continues to spin in the opposite direction due to he
changed the spinhack direction in his hack, when the
spinhack despinning is turned off for a specific
player, the despinning could then be turned on again
in the forward direction and this locks the players
spinning axis again and so on until the hacker turns
off his spinhack.
Creative, but...
New Idea!

Wonderful idea!
We hope a comes a new best AC tool

Very nice ...
I like the different approach
This sounds very good

Wallhack detection is only implemented on a basic level at the moment as it is not the primary focus of Oculus, yet. The primary focus is to eliminate blatant hackers that ruin the game like speedhackers, blatant aimbot and blatant wallhack. This allows for admins to focus on the harder decisions like subtle wallhack, anti-recoil, no-spread, subtle aimbot and so on.
It is still to be decided exactly how Oculus is going to be released (if it is) and how certain features are going to be implemented. Therefore I cannot tell you exactly how it's going to work with evidence and the like.
Oculus is as finished as this site is - meaning it still has a long way to go. This site will be the diary of Oculus development and from time to time I might release some kind of evidence of existence / proof-of-concept (videos, pictures, HL plugin).
A lot of descriptions are also missing. People might not fully understand the concept and idea behind Oculus yet. I will be adding more documentation as soon as I have the time.
